Scope
Book Redesign
The original design, while minimalistic, left room to further emphasize the book's emotional depth and its themes of overcoming hardship.
My goal was to create a cover and illustrations that visually narrate the transformative journey described in the poems, with a redesign that emphasizes themes of empowerment, resilience, and self-discovery, aligning with the book's core message.
Creative Process
This project starts by analyzing the book and its content, to define a mood board and the aesthetic that can be accomplished to represent the book, before moving on to different sketches of the cover and the poem's illustrations.
Final Outcome
The final book cover uses a minimalist layout, symbolic elements, to evoke the themes of self-empowerment and resilience. The monochromatic pallet with bold accents enhances the emotional depth of the book's content. Giving the book a more interesting look & more immersive experience for readers, where words and visuals harmonize.
